Licensed Building Practioners
The director and on-site manager, Caleb, is a Licensed Building Practitioner and his builders are trade certified. Which means we are building/renovating homes to NZ standards and are specialists who have been assessed to be competent to carry out work to a residential building’s structure.
New Zealand Certified Builders Association
Build with us and you’ll be working with more than just your average builder-you’ll be working with an NZCB approved builder, the only builder association in New Zealand with strict entry criteria where the minimum entry requirement for all members is a recognised industry trade qualification.

Caleb Honiss
Company director and a Certified Builder with 11 years’ experience in building, and 3 years as a company director. My passion is to build and renovate quality crafted homes to the highest of standards. I pride myself on quality, expertise and reliability. Too often I hear of builders with shoddy workmanship, poor reliability and complete lack of experience making the entire build or renovation process far more stressful than what it ought to be.
Zac Lauder
A qualified builder with 7 years building experience, Zac is our vital on site team leader. With a great attitude and exceptional workmanship coupled with outstanding leadership abilities Zac plays a key role in creating a team atmosphere that functions smoothly and efficiently. He has the experience to ensure your project runs to the desired timeframes and budgets
Scott Marshall
A qualified builder for 2 years, and full of enthusiasm for his trade this guy has a great sense of humour, a solid work ethic and great leadership abilities. His attention to detail and foresight in projects makes him a key team player in our company.
Leigh Love
With 20+ years’ experience in building Leigh brings a wealth of knowledge to our team. With methodical work and exact precision he is completely reliable to produce outstanding results. A welcome addition to the Mt Grey Building Team.
Isaac Barkely
Isaac started with us one year ago and was instantly offered a chance to complete an apprenticeship due to his attitude, willingness to learn and his non-stop work ethic! Great to see a young guy progressing so fast!
Lila Love
Lila has been working with us for the past year whilst she is studying to become an ambulance officer. Lila is a dedicated team player who learns fast, produces great results and enjoys challenging herself.
